Chicago is a thriving, multicultural home to people who speak more than 50 languages other than English, according to the 2011 census. One of the most spoken of these languages is Korean, with over 5000 speakers around the city. In fact, the language is so prevalent that Chicago even has its own Koreatown, established in the 1980s, where a multitude of Korean-owned enterprises dominate the neighborhood. Every year, a Korean festival is held there, and the neighborhood is even home to a Korean television station and two Korean-language newspapers. So, if you would like to enjoy Korean media perspectives of Chicago and celebrate this ancient culture with fellow citizens on a more meaningful level, in addition to taking advantage of the many business opportunities for bilingual speakers throughout the city, then contact us today and get started with a personalized Korean course.
Learn Korean for Work: Learning Korean will look great on your resume, giving you an advantage over others who only speak one language. Many companies of Korean origin have their headquarters in Chicago, such as Kotra, TmaxSoft, and Hyundai, and they are always looking for fluent Korean speakers to add to their international teams. Also, if you would like to partner with Korean entrepreneurs, you can get in touch with the Chicago Illinois Korean Chamber of Commerce on Spaulding Avenue, a non-profit organization that has been trying to connect Korean and American businesses to build a strong and healthy community since 1979. They even work with the Korean Chamber of Commerce in Seoul, Daegu, and Busan to support several global events. Further, you can also contact the Korean American Coalition, another non-profit institution that seeks to create a strong, vibrant community through social, cultural, and networking opportunities. Their charity events and conferences are always attended by Korean native speakers, so make the most out of the opportunity and learn some Korean with us beforehand to impress them by communicating in their own native tongue!
Learn Korean for Culture: If you would like to experience the Korean culture like a local without ever leaving Chicago, you will be happy to know that the city is filled with Korean sounds, flavors, and products: You will be able to find everything from Korean cosmetic face masks to HaiTai Honey Butter Chip, and even the best Korean BBQ. If you like music, you can go to a karaoke bar, such as Lincoln Noraebang on Lincoln Avenue. Get your friends together and make a reservation because these karaoke rooms get booked up early. Sing along to K-pop songs with the flawless pronunciation you learn with us at Language Trainers! And if you are looking to have a relaxing afternoon, you can go to King Spa and Sauna in the Civic Center Plaza. In this Korean bathhouse and sauna, you can enjoy different rooms which expose your body to various cleansing and calming elements.
Learn Korean for Social: And why not socialize while using your new Korean skills? Join the Chicago Korean Language Meetup Group if you would like to further practice what you learn with us at Language Trainers. If you like K-pop, K-dramas, K-film, Korean food, Korean martial arts, manhwa, and Korean gaming, this is the group for you! Join them to explore Korean culture in Chicago and put your Korean to use while making new friends. Most of these meetings are held in themed restaurants, such as Dancen on 92 Foster Street. Order some soju, makgeolli, and Korean bar food and impress your friends and the employees with your accent!

Our Korean courses are also available for small groups studying together (Two-to-One Korean Course or In-Company Small Group Korean Course). All participants must have the same language needs, be able to study at the same time at the same place and be at the same level. All participants should be booked at the same time.
